3631 RANDOLPH RD, CLEVELAND HEIGHTS OH 44118

DEMOLISHED JUNE 2026

For nearly two years, this burned-out house sat in the Randolph/Yellowstone neighborhood. The owner got delay after delay. Appeals. Extensions. Ownership changes. More time. Meanwhile, the city lets residents live next to a dangerous eyesore. This is how we took action. We filed a formal complaint, contacted the City Council, started a Change.org petition, interviewed residents on-site, put the story on social media, and made enough noise that it could not be ignored. After weeks of pressure, the city finally ordered demolition. On June 17, 2026, 3631 Randolph was torn down.

SHELL GAS STATION 1895 S TAYLOR, CLEVELAND HEIGHTS OH 44118

CLEANED UP JUNE 2026

In addition to residential properties, RATH is holding business owners accountable for failing to maintain their commercial properties. We recently came to know the owner of a local Shell station that we had filed a complaint on for excessive trash build up and overgrown weeds. We came together and worked on a long term solution that would see the property consistently maintained moving forward. Next steps include seal coating, additional landscaping, and repairs to the dumpster area. RATH works when it follows through with complaints to the city and demands accountability from property owners.

SOUTH TAYLOR SYNAGOGUE 1970 S TAYLOR, CLEVELAND HEIGHTS OH 44118

CLEANED UP JULY 2026

In late June we decided to add the South Taylor Synagogue to our list of targets. This building has decades of history and significance to the local jewish population and it's condition was not in line with the respect it deserved. We filed a complaint for the overgrown weeds and grass, which was collecting trash. This issue was promptly dealt with and the property was returned to a state of consistent maintenance. RATH is about continued accountability for those responsible and setting reminders for what is not acceptable in our neighborhoods.
